Everlane Denim Guide: Every Style Reviewed | Truncation
Everlane Denim Guide, Everlane Denim Review

*** Updated on 2/5/20 with my review of the wide leg and super straight styles

Hey guys!

I’m going to keep this intro pretty brief… simply for the fact that this post kind of speaks for itself.

The other day I had the realization that I actually owned pretty much every style of Everlane denim…

you might say I’m a fan 😉

But in all reality, I have been really impressed with the quality and fit of Everlane’s denim collection, not to mention the fact that it’s made responsibly.

It costs less than certain fast fashion denim darlings (*cough Madewell), but the quality is either the same or better.

But a major drawback is that Everlane only has a few store locations, which means that the vast majority of us have to rely on reviews on the actual website or keep our fingers crossed that our favorite blogger will do a review.

So with that in mind, I thought it might be helpful to you if I were to do a comprehensive Everlane denim guide, and keep it in one spot so you can refer/compare whenever you need to.

Oh and just a note that I have a style from each category, but I don’t have one of each rise/inseam. So if you’re wondering about a different rise/inseam just let me know and I can pick up a pair to review for you.

I hope you find this helpful! I plan to add to it as they release new styles so check back if  you’re ever curious.

Oh and just a note that I do make a commission if you shop through my links. I appreciate your support of Truncation when you use my links, but if affiliate linking makes you feel like the world is coming to an end then feel free to go straight to the website (kidding).

Alight let’s get to my Everlane Denim Guide:

Style: The Modern Boyfriend in mid blue (it’s now only available in black)

Cost: Now in the Choose What you Pay section for as low as $48

My size: 27 regular

What the Website Says:

  • Slim-yet-relaxed fit. Straight at the ankle. Sits at the mid-waist. Rise: 10”. Inseam: 27.5”.
  • one size down and higher on the waist, or in their true size for a slouchier fit.
  • 98% cotton, 2% elastane. This premium 11 oz Japanese denim has an authentic feel with a touch of stretch.

DESCRIPTION

Way better than vintage. For a modern take on the time-tested boyfriend jean, we designed this pair with a slightly higher rise, a flattering relaxed fit, and a leg width that’s right in-between slim and straight.

What I say:

  • Fit: In my opinion these are more of a straight fit than a boyfriend fit, though they do have a bit of a slouch to them if you do size up. These are actually now a little too big on me so when I bought them I had sized down for a more fitted look. If I were to buy them today I would probably buy a 26 because I’ve learned that I actually really do like the slouchy fit of these. The rise is 10″, but it doesn’t feel that way to me because they are meant to sit lower on your hips (the extra rise length is what causes the slouchiness). Also, they hit me right at the bottom of my ankle, but I do prefer to cuff them a few times.
  • Material: these do stretch out a bit so if you’re between sizes, definitely go down a size. When I first got them the waist pinched a bit, but after a day of wear they were really helpful. I’ve washed them quite a bit and there has been no fading. They do shrink back a bit with each wash, which is helpful.

Style: The Relaxed Boyfriend Jean in Vintage Distressed Blue

Cost: $78

My Size: 26 regular

What the website says:

  • Relaxed fit. Tapered at the ankle. Sits at hips. Rise: 10.75″. Inseam: 27″ (unrolled). Leg Opening: 13.75″ (size 28).
  • 100% cotton
  • Button fly.

DESCRIPTION

Meet your new boyfriend. We designed this pair with an easy, relaxed fit and a roomy-yet-tapered leg. P

What I say:

  • Fit: Now THESE fit more like what I think a boyfriend jean should fit like. They are much more relaxed than the modern boyfriend, but the 100% cotton makes them fit a lot more like vintage denim. These are probably the most comfortable pair of Everlane jeans that I own. I know not everyone is a fan of the boyfriend style, but I am, and these are the perfect pair of boyfriend denim in my opinion. I think the slouchy fit at the bottom, the slimness in the hips, and the higher rise make these almost better than a good pair of vintage jeans. I ordered my true size of 26 and they are a perfect fit. They haven’t stretched out at all, and washed really well (I hang dry all of my denim).
  • Material: These are definitely 100% cotton. The cotton is very rigid, but they are still soft and comfortable which truly does make them like a pair of vintage jeans. The wash that I have is super similar to a pair of vintage Levi’s so if that’s the look you’re going for, make sure to get the vintage distressed blue. Also, this sounds weird, but I REALLY love the distressing on the cuff of these jeans. It just is the perfect amount of scuffing without it looking like it was intentional ha!

Style: The Cheeky Straight Ankle Jean in Faded Indigo Wash (1st) and Sky Blue (2nd)

Cost: $68

My Size: 26 ankle

What the website says:

  • Straight fit. Cropped at the ankle. Sits at high waist. Rise: 11”. Inseam: 26.5”. Leg opening: 14” (size 28).Women at our office like to wear them two ways: one size down for a tighter fit in the seat, or in their true size for a more relaxed fit.
  • 98% cotton, 2% elastane.

DESCRIPTION

Meet Cheeky—engineered for the perfect rear fit. This straight leg jean has a super-high rise and a raised back hook seam that lifts and tightens. Plus, they feature our Happy Pockets, which are set higher and closer together for a bouncy, lifted look.

What I say:

  • Fit: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these. I really couldn’t be happier with them. They are definitely my most modern pair of denim, but I love what they add to any outfit. I started with the sky blue, and wore them so much last spring and summer that I added a pair of faded indigo for fall. I will say, the website says to size down for a tighter fit, but I got my true size and I feel like they would be really uncomfortable a size down. They probably would be a bit tighter in the rear, but I think the waist would be too tight because it’s such an extreme high rise. So for what it’s worth, I suggest just sticking with your true size. I find these to be super flattering in the rear and hips and it’s definitely because of the small details they mention in the description such as the raised back hook and the placement of the pockets. I really do think these would be flattering on pretty much every body type.
  • Material: These are not 100% cotton, but they definitely feel like they are. I also haven’t noticed any bagging out or stretching out between washes. And again, they wash beautifully. Just a note that the lighter wash is actually a bit more rigid and stiff than the indigo wash. I find them both to still be comfortable, but if anyone is between sizes that may be a bit of an issue as the rigidness does cause the lighter wash to be a bit tighter.

Style: The 90’s Cheeky Straight Ankle Jean in vintage light blue.

Cost: $78

My Size: 26 ankle

What the Website Says:

  • Straight fit. Cropped at the ankle. Sits at high waist.
  • Rise: 11”. Inseam: 28.5”. Leg opening: 14” (size 28).
  • 100% cotton.
  • Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low.
  • Button fly

DESCRIPTION

Our favorite jean meets our favorite decade. Made from premium non-stretch Japanese denim for a vintage-inspired look, the ’90s Cheeky Straight Jean has an easy straight leg, an extra-high rise, and a butt-boosting rear fit.

What I say:

  • Fit: OK. I’m a fan of these in that they are the most similar to vintage denim of any of Everlane’s styles. They are a true rigid fit, and they nailed it with the washes (in my opinion). BUT because they are 100% cotton, they do take a bit of breaking in. I went for the same size I’ve gotten in the other cheeky style (26), but a 27 would have probably been a bit more comfy… but at the same time I love the tight fit of the 26. I think it will come down to a personal preference for you. The original cheeky does stretch out a bit over time, but I don’t believe these will. If anything, they’ll just soften up like other 100% cotton denim does.
  • Material: These are 100% cotton, and they definitely feel like they are. I haven’t washed them yet as I find 100% cotton can go longer between washes, but I am hoping they will soften over time as they are a bit stiff. Bottom line: if you’re a 100% cotton denim lover, you’ll love these. If you’re not… you won’t. I think for everyday wear I still prefer the original cheeky, but these are great for date night. 😉

Style: The Authentic Stretch High Rise Cigarette Jean in Black

Cost: $78

My Size: 27 regular

What the website says:

  • Fitted through at the waist and hip, with a slim-straight leg. Sits at high waist. Rise: 11″. Inseam: 28 1/2″. Leg Opening: 13 1/4″ (size 28).
  • 77% Cotton, 17% Modal, 2% Elastane, 4% Polyester
  • Button fly.

DESCRIPTION

Introducing the Cigarette Jean. With an extra-high rise and a slim-straight fit through the leg, this jean features a button fly and smoothing front pockets for a leg-lengthening effect. Plus, it’s made of an innovative fabric that has stretch for comfort—but still has an authentic denim look.

What I say:

  • Fit: These are my favorite pair of jeans that I own from Everlane, and I think I’ll pick up a pair in the mid blue while their sale is going on. First of all, they are SO comfortable, but they really do manage to hold their shape. There is a slight bit of creasing in the knee area, but they are otherwise really similar in look to the cheeky jeans. I wish I had a pair of the ankle style so you could see the differences between these and the cheeky (let me know if you want me to do a more in depth comparison), but with the longer length these pair so well with boots (at least for my height). The stretch does really smooth my curves out though and I really like the way they look. Plus, I like the button fly because it adds just a bit of something extra to the jeans. Also, I did size up in these and they fit perfectly. I was worried that if I sized up they would stretch out and be huge, but that has not been the case.
  • Material: As mentioned above, the stretch makes these jeans so incredibly comfortable and they really do a great job of smoothing everything out. I think the reason these jeans do such a good job of retaining their shape despite the stretch is the weight of the fabric. I think a lot of other high stretch denim has a thinner weight so they tend to stretch out pretty badly throughout the day, but these really don’t do that. I can wear them for quite a while before having to wash them (sorry if that grosses you out!). For this particular wash, just make sure to wash them inside out so they don’t fade.

Everlane Denim Guide & Review the Super Straight Jean

Style: The Super Straight Jean in Medium Blue (Gifted)

Cost: $78

My Size: 27 Regular

What the Website Says:

  • Inseam: 28.5″
  • 98% Cotton 2% Elastane
  • Machine wash cold, tumble dry low

DESCRIPTION

Meet the super-cute jean you’re about to see everywhere. The Super-Straight Jean features a high rise for a leg-lengthening look, and—surprise—an extra-straight shape that’ll make you feel straight-up amazing. Plus, it’s super versatile. Try it on with any shoe, and you’ll see what we mean.

What I Say:

  • Fit: I like these jeans, but I don’t love them if I’m being honest. I may feel a bit differently if I had received the ankle length, but I think the straight leg with the placement on the ankle make for a slightly awkward fit. I find these types of straight leg styles really work for athletic or straight shaped bodies, but they might not be the best fit for a curvier body… of course this is just my preference, but I don’t love the way they fit over my curves. I prefer the cheeky style for flattering curves. If you have a straighter body I think you’ll really love these jeans. With that said, the rise and shape do make for a comfortable pair of jeans. They leave a lot of room for food babies which is very important. There is plenty of room in the hips and thighs as well, and I do love the way the more spacious ankle looks with ankle boots that have a slimmer top
  • Material: They are very stretchy ergo very comfortable. They do seem to have a little more weight to them than some of the other styles (particularly the cheeky), so they feel pretty substantial. They are definitely not as stretchy as the authentic stretch material so if you’re going for pure comfort I would choose something from that range, but these are a great pair of structured yet comfy denim.

Style: The Kick Crop Jean in Dark Blue Wash

Cost: $78

My Size: 26

What the website says:

  • Fits slim through the thigh and leg, with a slight flare at the ankle. Sits at high waist. Rise: 10.5”. Inseam: 26.5”. Leg opening: 16” (size 28).Fits true to size.
  • 98% cotton, 2% elastane.

DESCRIPTION

Your most leg-lengthening jean. Our Kick Crop features a subtle kick-flare at the ankle and is made of our premium 11 oz Japanese denim with a touch of stretch. Plus, we added a stay stitch so the raw hem stays put through repeated washes.

What I say:

  • Fit: Okay. I hate to say it, but I don’t like these jeans. Which is such a shame because I love the dark wash in these jeans (I’d love to see it in the Cigarette style). First of all, they absolutely don’t fit true to size. I got my true size of 26 and they are SOOO small I could barely pull them on. Full disclosure, this was the only pair I didn’t own and I picked them up for the review with the intention of keeping them, but they will be going back. I would say go up one or two sizes. I also did not find them to be leg lengthening as they claim in the description. This could be due to my height, but where they hit at my ankle actually makes me look a lot shorter. I could probably cut them to be a bit shorter, and I think they would actually be pretty cute in spring with sandals, but for now I don’t see myself benefiting from this style.
  • Material: While these have the same material makeup as the cheeky, the material does not feel the same. Where the cheeky feels soft, this felt really stiff to me, though to be fair it could be due to my needing a bigger size. I LOVE the wash in these jeans and I really hope they expand this wash to more of their other styles. The raw hem is a nice addition as well, and it’s nice that you can trim them on your own if you want them to be shorter.
Everlane Denim Guide & Review the Wide Leg Jean
Everlane Denim Guide & Review the Wide Leg Jean

Style: The Wide Leg Jean in Medium Indigo

Cost: $78

My Size: 27 Ankle

What the Website Says:

  • Inseam: 26.5″
  • 98% Cotton 2% Spandex
  • Machine Wash Cold With Like Colors, Wash Inside Out, Only Non-Chlorine Bleach When Necessary, Tumble Dry Low, Cool Iron If Needed

DESCRIPTION

Our ultra-flattering Wide Leg Crop is such a fan favorite, we decided to make it in jean form. Inspired by our favorite vintage pants, the Wide Leg Jean has an authentic feel, a higher rise, and wider leg openings for a lengthening effect. We even added a touch of stretch for extra comfort and movement—plus, higher-set rear pockets to give your backside a lift.

What I Say:

  • Fit: Surprisingly I love these! I knew I was going to review them for you guys, but I also wasn’t really that excited about my purchase because the pockets made me nervous. Ha! They just looked like they were awkwardly placed, and I was sure they would stick out to the side. Surprisingly? They don’t. And they actually look really nice on the hip. They also fall really nicely down the leg because of the weight of the material. I’ve tried a few other wide leg styles from other brands, and the wide leg didn’t lay correctly because they were too stretchy. This pair looks very structured, but yet they hug in all the right places. And I agree about the lifted backside… they do lift your butt up quite nicely. I love the little details on this style including the wide hem, and the interesting pocket shapes (both the front and the rear).
  • Material: It’s funny how a lot of the Everlane denim styles have the same material makeup, but they feel so different. This material feels thicker and more stretchy. I would say these are the most comfortable to wear in this material range (the authentic stretch is still the winner though). There’s just so much room in the leg, and they don’t cut in at the waist even though they are such a high rise.

Style: The Modern Flare Jean (ankle) in Black

Cost: $85

My Size: 27

What the website says:

  • Inseam: 31″
  • 77% Cotton, 17% Modal, 2% Elastane, 4% Other Fiber
  • Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low.

DESCRIPTION

An iconic ’70s jean made for modern ’20s style. The Modern Flare Jean features a waist-nipping 11″ rise, a perfectly flared shape through the leg, and an extra-long 31″ inseam that pairs well with everything from boots to sneakers. Plus, it’s made with just a touch of stretch, so you can look great and still breathe.

What I say:

  • Fit: I think I’ve fallen in love ha! I seriously have not wanted to take these off because they are that comfortable. I remember in college trying to thrift a pair of jeans exactly like these because I really wanted to recreate that iconic picture of Farrah Fawcett riding a skateboard … well these are those jeans. I love that the length isn’t super long (depending on your height of course). I love the flare look, but I’ve never been able to find a pair I could wear with flats, and these are the perfect length for that. They make your legs look really long, and they are very figure flattering because of the slight stretch to them. They have a very high waist, and I have had no issues with them slipping down throughout the day (not really an issue I’ve run into with any of the Everlane denim styles). I do think this style runs a bit big so if you are in between two sizes I would go down a size.
  • Material: Like I said above, the material is really nice and stretchy so they are very comfortable to wear. As with the other Authentic Stretch denim styles they feel like a really sturdy, well made pair of jeans. They are thick enough to not slide down, but they are stretchy enough move with your body. These are probably the comfiest pair of Everlane jeans that I own.

Style: The High Rise Skinny Jean (ankle) in Black

What the website says:

  • Skinny fit. Slim at the ankle. Sits at high waist. Rise: 10.5”. Inseam: 28.5”. Leg opening: 11” (size 28).We’ve found that most people prefer to size up in this color.
  • 98% cotton, 2% elastane. This premium 11 oz Japanese denim has an authentic feel with a touch of stretch—and doesn’t bag out.

DESCRIPTION

The perfect high-rise jean. Made of premium Japanese denim with just a touch of stretch, this pair is designed with a holds-you-in high rise for a sleek fit. Quite possibly the most flattering jean—ever.

What I say:

  • Fit: I think these jeans may be even more flattering than the stretch skinny jeans (more on those in a bit). There is something about that rigid cotton that looks so nice. They really do so much for your curves and make for a super flattering pair of denim. However (I know. sigh.), I don’t find these to be very comfortable at all. NOW. Granted I think I may have gotten them a size too small. I’m regularly a 26 and I got these in a 27. I think a 28 would have fit SO much better. The issues for me are the knee and ankle areas: I find it hard to bend my knees in these jeans because of the lack of stretch and sometimes the ankle area feel really tight. At some point I would like to try these in a bigger size because they are so flattering, but definitely keep that in mind when considering them.
  • Material: Not much more to say other than the material does feel like it’s really high quality. There is absolutely no stretching out with these jeans and they hold their shape incredibly well. The color does fade a tiny bit with washing in this particular wash, but I don’t mind that as much because it gives them a slight vintage feel.

  • 77% Cotton, 17% Modal, 2% Elastane, 4% Other Fiber
  • Rear leather patch.

DESCRIPTION

Stretch denim—that actually looks like denim. This high-rise skinny has a form-flattering fit, with a figure-hugging 11″ rise and a classic skinny leg.

What I say:

  • Fit: I think these jeans are SO flattering! I really love the way they look. I’m in a place in my life where I don’t where a lot of skinny jeans because they haven’t gotten as much wear as some of the other denim, but I do still really love them, and they’re perfect for a girls night out or date night. 🙂 The super high rise and the sucking in action of the stretch denim really does something special for the figure ha! If you are a skinny jean fan I would definitely recommend these! I don’t find these to have that constricting feeling that you get from some skinny jeans (like you’re being squeezed into a sausage casing). I got the regular inseam and it’s perfect. I don’t like ankle skinny jeans in the winter because too much ankle causes cold feet, but I also hate when skinny jeans pool at the ankle. They do have a tall size as well for anyone that is taller than my average height. As with the cigarette style, I sized up in these as well for the perfect fit.
  • Material: Just like with the cigarette style the stretch on these jeans is so nice. It has that same heavier weight fabric so they keep their shape and smooth out curves, but they are still stretchy enough to be really comfortable. I didn’t find the material to cut in anywhere, and there is minimal bunching at my knees. And just like with the cigarette style, just wash them inside out to retain the saturation of the wash.

:: Bootcut ::

Everlane Denim Guide: Every Style Reviewed, Cheeky Bootcut

Style: The Cheeky Bootcut Jean in washed black.

Cost: $78

My Size: 27 ankle

What the Website Says:

  • Rise: 11″. Inseam: 28.5″. Leg Opening: 16.25″ (size 28).
  • 98% Cotton, 2% ElastaneMachine
  • wash cold. Tumble dry low.

DESCRIPTION

The Cheeky Bootcut Jean combines all the signature elements of our favorite Cheeky fit—like a waist-nipping rise and high-set pockets, for a lifted look—with the classic leg-lengthening shape of 1970s bootcut jeans. We made it modern with a slightly straighter leg, timeless washes, and just the right amount of stretch. The result? Your best butt meets denim’s leggiest look.

What I say:

  • Fit: OK. These fit very similarly to the regular cheeky straight jeans, but with a slight flare out at the ankle… which is true to their name. On my height, I don’t love the placement of the flare. They’re just a little too cropped and I find the flare to be a bit awkwardly placed on my calf. With that said, paired with a heel I do like it much better, and they are the perfect length to wear with ankle boots. I actually don’t mind the flare placement when I’m wearing a higher ankle boot so that’s something to consider. They feel a bit more structured than the original cheeky straight so they will require some amount of breaking in, but they don’t seem to stretch as much as the cheeky straight does. I stayed true to size with a 27, and they fit like a glove. I definitely wouldn’t size down or size up in this style.
  • Material: They have 2% elastane in them so theoretically they should feel nice and stretchy, but I actually find them to have a bit more of a rigid fit. I attribute that to the actual weight of the denim: it’s a lot bit more heavyweight than the original cheeky straight so they definitely have a lot of structure to them. It does feel comfortable in the waist and at the fly so that’s where the 2% elastane really shines.

*just a note that I lowered the shadows on all of my photos with black jeans so that you could see the details, but in person all but the non stretch skinny are a rich, saturated wash. The non stretch skinny is slightly more of a washed black.

Okay then! Those are my thoughts. I hope you found this Everlane denim guide helpful! Let me know if I missed anything in the comments so I can add it into my reviews, and like I said above let me know if you’d like a review of any of these jeans in different rises/washes/inseams.

And for those of you who have asked:

My tee is from Tradlands (gifted), Shoes are the Day Flat from Everlane, and the necklace is from Zoe River Elegance on Etsy.

I think that’s it!

Until next time,

Karin

Have you noticed any kind of smell with the black jeans? I’m always so disappointed when I order black denim online and they have that chemical smell that’s impossible to get rid of.

I haven’t! Though I don’t think I’ve ever noticed that with black denim so I’m not exactly sure what you’re referring to. But I can say that I didn’t smell anything on the black pairs and I have a pretty sensitive nose.

Hi! I’ve been reading your posts and trying to decide on what size I should get for the Cheeky (not the 90s). I got two of them, 24 and 25 in the faded indigo. 24 fits all around, even the waist. The only problem is that I am awful cameltoe AND a wedgie. The 25 gaps at the waist (in a comfortable way), but seems to have a lot of excess fabric around the thighs. I really want to love them, and will be so bummed not ending to keep any. Did yours stretch out in the waist? Also, did they expand or shrink in the wash?

Hi Cherry! I would say go with the smaller size because they do stretch out over time. I have actually been thinking about selling my dark wash cheeky jeans so that I can order the smaller size. I hope that helps!

I’ve returned 5-6 pairs of Everlane jeans due to the smell. Like, burn your nose hairs, eye watering chemica smell. I think the Authentic Stretch material is the culprit (I only purchased the black and washed black colors).

That’s so strange! I have not had the problem at all! And I own three pairs of the authentic stretch jeans. I have a pretty sensitive nose too so I think I’d notice it if it was there. Maybe you had a bad batch? Though it does seem strange that it would have been on that many pairs…

Hey! Love these posts! So helpful!! Question. The only pair of everlane jeans I purchased I returned because I could totally see the entire front pocket outline and it just looked weird. My husbands do that too now a little. Have you had the problem at all? I do want to go with everlane and I can get behind their mission but the fit has to be right too.

Hi! I’m have similar body shape to you. Did you feel like you need to size up in the authentic stretch cigarette style or skinny?

    Thanks!

No, I stayed true to size! The stretch makes them mold really well.

Hi! This post is so helpful! I have a similar body type to you and was wondering if you felt like you had to size up in the authentic stretch cigarette or skinny style?

    Thanks!

Hi! My inseam is between a 26 and 27 and am finding the relaxed boyfriend is too long. I want to get it shortened but want to know if I should wash it first, and also where on my ankle it should hit? Also, what shoes do you wear it with? Thanks!

Have you tried rolling the hem? I really like mine rolled! I haven’t noticed much shrinking with that style, but it wouldn’t hurt to try washing them first. I like mine to hit right at the bottom of my ankle so that’s what I would suggest. As far as shoes go, I haven’t loved this style with boots, but I do really love them with sneakers, clogs, and flats! They’d look cute with heels too, but I’m not much of a heels girl.

Thanks for the mega post! I’ve tried on a few of these styles and interestingly, I’ve found that in the authentic stretch high-rise, different washes fit differently. The washed black seems to run tighter than the blue ones. I’ve also had a problem with bagginess in the knees with many pairs I’ve tried. But maybe that’s because I’m shorter. I wish they’d make a true petite size.

I’ve found that to be true in some of their other styles as well (although i’ve noticed this in other brands as well, so it must be a fairly common problem in denim production). I haven’t experienced the knee bagginess, but I’m average height so perhaps it is just where your knees are hitting the denim.

Yes, I think you’re right! I have short limbs so the bagginess is probably due to where it hits me. I reviewed different Everlane jeans with different materials: the Japanese denim and the Authentic Stretch and they both had some bagginess in the knees (though I also think it might be impossible to make stretch jeans without a little bit of that happening).

I agree that there is a trade off to stretch! It’s comfy, but it does lead to SOME bagginess.

This is hugely helpful! Thank you! I have been thinking of buying jeans from them forever but fit questions have held me back! This will help me push the buy button!

are the new cheeky’s in your usual size extremely tight to the point that it’s difficult to sit or bend your knees?

    Hi!
I was wondering if you can compare the sizes to madewell? I wear a 26 in madewell jeans, wondering if i’d be the same in everlane or if they run smaller/bigger than madewell?
    Thanks!

It really depends on the specific style, but I would say Madewell runs smaller. I’m also a 26 in Madewell, and a 27 in most Everlane styles (besides the original cheeky).

Hi! Thank you for compiling this, it was just what I was looking for while debating which style of Everlane denim to pick up. I’m currently debating some of their bootcut styles (a departure from my beloved straight leg), so I vote those next!

So here’s my question- ever since my youngest was born a year I have to be *very* careful how stiff my jeans feel down there. I love the look of everlane denim – but does it feel soft and comfortable or rigid?

Hmmm. I haven’t felt that way per se, but the styles that aren’t 100% denim should be fine for you if you get them in the right size.
