Karin Rambo of shares what Truncation is all About

Hi there!  My name is Karin and I’m mama to a sweet toddler named Kit, twin girls Rosie and Ella, and the proud wife of my other half David.  We have a mini dachshund named Oscar and that’s our little family!  I have my Master’s in Theology, love long philosophical discussions, love literature (especially classic), cooking and feel the most free when I’m in nature.  Oh, and I love fashion and beauty. It’s good to have diverse interests right?!

One of my greatest passions (besides being a wife and mama) is to inspire others to find value in their simple, “ordinary” lives and to inspire a community mindedness in how we relate to each other. In other words, lets figure out what we have in common instead of always trying to compete with each other.

I’m calling this project Truncation. Why?

Well the definition of truncation is to shorten or reduce.

And that’s what I want to see women doing: getting rid of (i.e. reducing) all of the crap that makes us:

a. feel inferior

b. which then causes us to envy other people’s lives

c. which leads to jealousy and division

So now that you’re here, why don’t you join me? Join me in supporting and encouraging the people you are blessed to have in your lives.

But one more thing before you go… it’s important to support those in our immediate circle, but if you poke around Truncation long enough, you’ll learn that I only purchase ethically made clothing and cruelty free beauty.

While I think we should start by supporting the people we interact with regularly, it’s important to remember that we’re all connected by the mere fact that we’re sharing this planet. I’m uncomfortable with the fact that my purchasing decisions may lead to poor living conditions for fellow human beings (especially other mamas), or the torturing of innocent animals. So I like to talk about these things from time to time.

I think that covers everything!

Glad to have you here. Make sure you stick around and check out some of my posts! Here’s a few recommendations if you want to start with these:
